Estancia San Juan

Season: May 1st – July 31st.

This area, known as the depression of the Rio VALLIMANCA, provides excellent duck hunting. Its landmass, that combines good pasture and croplands with large depressions, ponds, lagoons, and field marshlands, is an ideal habitat for ducks. Shooting is done in baited lagoons or ponds, and sometimes in baited canals (passes) between large water bodies, as well as in cropped feeding areas.

Normally our guests hunt in pairs in natural cover or well camouflaged permanent blinds. We respect a liberal 25 bird limit per person in the morning and an additional 15 to 20 in the afternoon hunt.
Partridge shoots are done in pairs behind pointing and retrieving dogs. An average of 20 points and flushes can be expected throughout the afternoon.
Pigeon hunting, which is dependent on prior scouting and seasonal climate factors, is done in feeding areas or in the occasional roosting area.
Most of the hunting is done on the property or on properties directly surrounding the Estancia making for convenient and comfortable travel times.

La Estancia San Juan is a magnificent well refined estancia located in the center of the Argentine Humid Pampas 15 kms from the city of Bolívar, and 165 miles from the Buenos Aires International Airport.
The main house was constructed at the end of the 19th century in the golden era of Argentina. In 2003 it was meticulously rebuilt and refurbished to its original beauty incorporating all the needs of the these times without losing the enchantment of the original building.
Its surrounded by a well maintained park and gardens with many different species of very old growth trees.
The interior of the estancia centers around a large living room area with a fireplace and a well appointed bar. The dining room has the unique reminiscences of the times of the Argentine golden era. It has 5 ample bed rooms in suite all of which are finely decorated, comfortable, with wifi, direct tv and private bathrooms.
The Bolivar airport is only 5 miles away.

Cuisine: A combination of Argentine and International cuisine is rendered by a highly qualified full-time staff. A full breakfast is served prior to hunting in the morning. A traditional Argentine asado (BBQ) is normally enjoyed at lunch time with distinctive cuts of fine Argentine beef or pork. A three-course dinner is served in front of the fire in the main dining room and consists of excellent regional recipes in which the estancia specializes. Also included, are fine wines, beer, and a complete open bar.
